haha that's hilarious, this is going to be interesting, is it for the same 5 days? did I mention I got some front mounted machine guns for my pulsar

11 weeks and counting.

Me and the wife are gonna head down to folkstone on Sunday 18th and stay over in hotel so where not fighting traffic and lack of sleep to catch the train.

Anybody got a hotel booked already or doing the same thing?

I'm probably heading most the way down with Johnny, but he likely heading to Bobs first.so if anyone wants to meet up for a drink on Sunday night let me know

How's everyone's preparations going for the trip?

Missed half these post, I'd be up for a beer somewhere the night before (long as its not another 2am hobbies down bobs getting the car ready night before again)

I've taken mine off the road today to get ready, new turbo and manifold gaskets, 2 new lower arms, front and rear brake pads, wheels off for a refurb and would love to get it in for a bit of body work but ran out of time for that.

Iv got my Leon booked in tomorrow, hopefully get to the bottom or air getting into my clutch hydraulics . Changing master cylinder/ clutch line n bleeder. If that doesn't solve it its gearbox off time to change the slave cylinder and probably fit Helix organic clutch to boot

Now did you get on, they get to the bottom of the clutch problems? What leon you got? Done much to it

It would seem the master cylinder is in good nick, and other apparent places where by air is getting drawn into the system so can only assume it's the concentric slave that causing the problem , real pita. I'm having to bleed the bloody clutch every other day now.
Booked in next week to drop the box, should hopefully get my hands on a Helix clutch next week while the box is off.

Iv got a 61reg Cupra R , mods wise TTRS brembo front brakes on TTs 340mm discs , stage 1 tune 304/362 , 18" seat sport BBS alloys, 10mm/15mm HR spacers, a few little subtle mods like the golf battery box, AKS shifter bushes, billet bleeder block . All goes well with the clutch I might push for 370/400ish Next year.

Can't wait to get it sorted so I can go for a hoon

Could make for an interesting trip as friend of mine will be in his Leon cupra r with cobra exhaust badger 5 intake pipe, front mount and amd map with around 310-315

Nice Iv got a soft spot for the mk1, I think there lighter than the mk2 similar HP, what sort of torque does the 1.8 make ? Is he on seatcupra.net ?

Be interesting to compare lap times etc

He said he is on the site but doesnt use it much. Hes made 309bhp and 324lbft and has a stage 2 map from AMDbut hes never truely beliebed them.

Cant tell if leak is going from left (front) to right (back) or back to front or leaking from both ends!!! Bought dodgy fuel hose years ago and replaced all (for a second time) apart from the breather ones by the looks of things (no idea why i dodnt change them aswell) hopefully 3rd time lucky

But some good news turbo and wheels are back and ready to be fitted

train going out departs 11.50 last check in 11.20
train home 17.50 last check in 17.20

ring open Monday and Thursday evening. Monday 5.15pm - 7.30pm Thursday 5.30 - 7.30pm
GP track open Tuesday and Wednesday ( GP will be full track just checked) 6pm - 8pm both days

There also a trackday on at spa on the Wednesday , Iv been thinking about booking it? It's not cheap @ £350

I would do the Spa track day if people are up for it?

Always a track Iv wanted to do, I planned going just walk around and see the place while where in Germany ,I had a look to see if there was any events on and gold track are running an open pit lane TD there on the Wednesday. I'd love to do it but its not cheap.

Cant take it with you mate, and its a whole day of fun.

got lots still to do as you can see, then i need to load new data to gearbox ecu & programme so it syncs with engine management ecu
Also need to do following:
brakes all round
tyres all round
track alignment
service engine etc

All this in between doing everyone elded cars lol
