I brought some wheel nuts and then realised they are Billet Aluminum. I should really be using steel nuts right?

I prefer steel
7075 & dural gets used a bit but it not as tough, some tracks here won't let you on if using alloy nuts as had too many lost wheels due to soft alloy nuts that flooded market .
If want some cool nuts look at muteki classic, they cold forged steel & roughly half weight of standard nuts, sensible price too in set of 20 with spline drive socket so almost like locking nuts too.

Yeah ones I got are 7075 aluminium B. I'll check out those ones. I was a little surprised because I though alumiumn would be pretty soft to be using as wheels nuts.

I had a set of those once and will never use again. once wheel cools down after session on track they loosen off so can understand how people have been losing wheels as mine came loose also.

I may have a set woody if you want me to have a look for you prior to sending your other bits out?
Do you need slimline nuts or normal type and do you also need locking nut with them?

Yeah its better to be safe. The only GTR wheels I want to see flying past me are ones attached to a car Laughing

Sure mate if you get a chance, I was going to get normal extended nuts, no lock nuts.

Its a no from me too. They were a thing in the drift scene a while back which a couple of my good mates are into.

Seen too many wheels work their way loose and nuts break for me. Avoid.

Lol i remember my dad driving the R and the wheel came off when he was going down a country lane and down a bank, thats after we got it back from Leon and the wheels all had locking wheel nuts and the lock had gone so didnt think to check and after lookikg I found 10mm spacers on and hardly any thread. Luckily it wasnt too serious!
