I have had the car tweaked today so hopefully it's good for the Jap show come Sunday, it made 422.7 BHP at 1.5 bar of boost.

Next on the list is adjustable cam pulleys and more boost, and therefore hopefully more power, I won't do that for a couple of weeks though!! Lol!

Cheers pal!
I didn't say anything about the torque as its not as good!!...... It made 390lb/ft, it will do for now!
I've got a full Quaife gear set in it, strengthening collar on the endow the box too! Smile
Cheers again! Smile

No pal, I'm not interested in 500, It will cause too many transmission problems! I'll probably go to 450ish, maybe just a bit over depending how it goes! Apparently adjustable cam pulleys can make quite a big difference in the torque, power and how early the boost comes in but I doubt it will be taking to the 500's so that should suit me fine!

No point going crazy for hp number, it makes more sense to put the time & resources in making most of what you got with fine tuning .
decent punchy 400+ R's are quite insane, have fun making that quaife whine Smile

I know you say you just want a bit more. But 422/390, I would stop now...lol
Your only going to stress yourself worrying about issues by trying to chase those final numbers. It's always the case. Enjoy it.

Nice. Your car was quick before. Remember from the sprint day a few years back. Bet it's mental now. Who mapped it?

Yep, I agree Mr B, it does alright against most things, I'll be taking it down pod on Sunday! Smile
I will probably never stop Andy, it's a hobbie for me matey and you have to spend your money somewhere!! lol! It doesn't stress me out when it doesn't gain many horses with each upgrade..... Or when I blow it up!!
Cheers James, I remember meeting you at North Weald...... It's much quicker now! Wink I had it mapped by Paul at RS tuning in Leeds, he's good, he's very careful not to push the limits though, I wanted more boost, he said everything was fine, nothing was holding it back but he just didn't want to put any more in it!! Lol! They're a nice set of lads there though, and very helpful! Smile

Yes, he did it last year for me too. I've known Specky who works there for a while, so maybe that helped him agree to do it for me! He's good at mapping cars up and keeping reliable power, he had 80 runs on mine yesterday just tweaking little bits! I have a power FC on it, I have no idea if he can do Nistune. I know they specialise in Vauxhalls and Renaults though! Give him a ring and ask him!
Cheers pal, it does seem to pull like a train, it's actually 3 BHP down on what it was at Rockingham, but running 0.2 bar less boost which is impressive!! Very Happy

mate very nice numbers. your pulsar must be a beast on the roads.

i would be happy with the 320hp mark. Is that power usable on the road? bet you run out of road real quick
