Hey ive had huge issues with the left front tried
different brand bearings
different carriers
New Cv
Drive flanges themselves of course used  but measured
(Has anyone got a completely mint/new Drive flange
can someone measure bearing surface end to end pretty please

still cant get them to last more than 6months sometimes less than that
what are the chances the center (between Inner&Outter shaft of the driveshaft is bent ?

I would be more inclined to check the hub face for runout because if there is any then it will drastically reduce the life of the bearings, also check all other ball joints and bushes on that side as well as track rod, cv joints inner and outer for excessive movement all of which will have the same affect with regard to vibration putting an excessive load on bearing.

Are you running spacers on the car?

I will see if I have a good hub shaft I can check dimensions on for you but if the bearing is fitted correctly and is tight on the hub shaft then it cant be that unless of course its out of true.

Another reason could be excess preload leading to increased wear?
Aplogies if you already do this, but the nut might need to backed out a bit to allow for heat expansion when running?

Not quite following you hub face run out ? you got me on that one
I haven't replaced the ball joint but theres no play in it up and down
tho does move fairly freely
suspension Bushes are all Poly bushes
another no to the (Tie rod?) track rod that's original

I do have a 3mm spacer behind rotor (Evo caliper upgrade)
but brake upgrade is resent and bearing issues were there long before

I found some N16 hub carriers but my luck the bearings were wrecked in that too

Never thought about heat expansion Cosmic 73 but I doubt it

Very odd mate, what brand of bearings have you been using out of curiosity?

by runout on hub face Im meaning the hub which the wheel is bolted to which you have a spacer fitted over then your brake disc

if at some stage in the past it has been hit, kurbed etc then it could cause vibration which will drastically reduce the life of the bearing.
So I would remove the wheel then use the wheel nuts to secure the disc to hub then use a dti gauge or something similar to check to see that everything is running perfectly straight.

Not sure what its like over there but do some searching around for wheel bearings. I got quoted $80 each, which I thought was excessive, but seems to be average price. I did some searching and found a place which was about half the price in aus. I thought maybe they don't come with seals or they are some cheap looking dodgy brand but i took the chance.

They showed up today and look great. Saved myself about $160 Smile
