Bit of an odd question but how many sump baffle plates should be fitted to our cars?

Was re fitting the sumps last night, noticed that the crank girdle is drilled & tapped as it can accomadate two, but I only have one currently, is this right or do I have one missing?

I have one that bolts to the crank girdle in a sort of W shape &
One that bolts to the upper sump that's the same shape as the sump pan with the hole for the pick up pipe to go through.
Do I have anything missing?

Ok sound so as you look at the bottom of the engine the right hand side (flywheel end) has no baffle plate to bolt up underneath the crank cradle?

Only ask as I notice it was drilled & tapped as if something should be fitted.
