Struggling hold revs

Car starts fine then ticks over nice then it will hunt an then struggle to hold tick over till u rev it then
Feels fine again then the process starts again 2-3 mins later...

could be a number of things tbh
start by checking all vacuum pipes to make sure there all connected with no open ends
then do a fault code check to see if anything shows up on there
