Hi guys, since my spoiler is in need of a respray i thought i might have a go at wrapping it first to see how it looks. Has anybody on here ever done carbon wrapping etc themselves? im looking for some decent quality wrap. Thanks

I tried doing a few things years ago and turned out terrible, I had no idea and probably wasn't using decent quality wrap though Laughing I imagine a spoiler might be difficult due to it's design?

ive been looking at the so called 'intelligent' wrap which isnt as hard to work with, you can use a hair dryer to make it easier to apply but i wanted to see if anybody has done a diy on this.

The plan is to get the spoiler sprayed black anyway but i just wanted to have a go at doing it to be honest, my bonned is in a terrible state too but thats just too big for me to even think about wrapping haha Very Happy

From what I understand 3m are ment to be the best as when you remove it at a later stage it does not leave any residue on removal which is good!

Btw I would say its a 2 man job in order to keep it stretched over the area

I would say spoiler will be quite hard due to shape for wrapping.
Bonnet actually easier due to shape but still easy get it wrong or find the wrap you bought does not weather well.
Get a price from decent shop as if done well the bonnet & rear spoiler would look good in carbon wrap & could last a long time & be easily removed for standard paint finishing when bored of it or decide have more or whole car painted.
