Hi guys, im just wondering if it would be possible to install the R32 GTR MAF sensor inplace of the stock SR20 one. Could i just wire the rb26 one and install it with no map? what would happen? thanks!

Bit beyond my tech knowledge ...i pretty sure the z32 has to be mapped in so i cant see the rb26 being different ...

Yeah I don't think it would be a straight over. I'm sure the gtir one is specific for our cars. The r32 one might be possible but defs not without a map.

The R32 is apparently only good up to 300/350bhp and its way smaller, 65mm comparing to 80mm of the Z32. Thats why i was just thinking that because of the comparable to the SR20 maf size it could possibly bolt on and maybe work but no idea haha Very Happy

If its only good for 300/350 hp why would you even consider it?
The standard gtir one is at its limits the same.

yes a good stock maf will take you to circa 340ibhp so seems a bit pointless really

ive seen cars running stock mafs in excess of 350bhp but the maf duty is maxed out beyond a safe level so not really the best idea.
if you do want a larger maf then I would go for a tried and tested z32 (have one if needed) or you could try a gtr35 maf as that is supported by nistune but once again I think each one of them is limited to around 375bhp as gtr runs 2 so in theory can run 750bhp without needing upgrade, there are a few of those kicking about now

Im only thinking about installing the r32 as im suspecting that mine has gone but if its no good then ill just get a normal sr20 one.

Bob, did you get my messages about the engine mounts? I might need an AFM and a TPS too now
