My bride seat rails are shocking to try and slide. I have a few friends and theirs are a pain aswell. Anyone else have this problem? Any tips? I've tried greasing them up and made a fraction of difference.

Must be twisted up and down more than anything check them for level ie put a washer if needed under wher it bolts down on which ever corners need it

I just took the seat off and checked that. Looks like the way the tabs were welded on its forcing the rails to tilt and bind

they slide better when the side mounts are loose to the seat, once you tighten the mounts the rail twists and tightens aswell Sad

My seat is bottom mount and originally had to fab 2 tabs to get it mounted, so I'll change them and see how it goes.

Bride does need a clause that states the rails slide best when mounted loosely Laughing

Just to update, changed the mounts and the seat does slide now but it's abit stiff. Even without the seat bolted down the rails are abit stiff anyway.

It's way better but nothing like the slide you get on factory rails.

What seat / slider combo do you have in your R? I'm wanting to get a nicer seat for the drivers side of mine and cant seem to find very many options.

Cheers, Monk.

Im using a Bride Gias seat and Im pretty happy with it.

They are a bottom mount seat and I had to modify the bride rails to suit.

If you look at the picture below, I had to remove the 2 pieces of flat bar you can see connecting the sliders. This is because the Gias is a low max seat, the plastic bottom of the seat would foul on those flat bars (could have used spacers but my head would have been hitting the roof). After removing the flat bar, I drilled new mounting holes in the sliders/ seat mount and perfect Smile

Awesome thanks man! Sweet baby jesus those are expensive seats though.

Have you had any experience with corbeau seats? Im looking for something around the $4-500 mark.

Thanks again for the help!

Not sure where you are located and what's available around you but mines actually a bride copy, exactly the same dimensions and its Australian approved, cost was a lot less than a bride, quality is also fine. There are some horrible copies out there though.

What kind of seat do you prefer? Fixed back, reclinable, high/ low seating position? Some of the other lads might be able to give you some advice Smile

I'm in Canada actually, I think just a fixed back as I don't plan on replacing thelpassenger seat. Low seat position would be ideal. I'm just having a hard time finding any info on what will fit in the pulsar and getting the proper bracket.

Yeah mate, I had the same problem with finding info. The seat rail in the picture was the only R specific one I found at the time. I just winged it, brought the rails and seat I wanted with the idea of fabricating whatever it needed to fit.

You don't have any issues with your seat hitting the centre console?
Do you know where I could get a decent bride replica?

Thanks again.

No issues with mine hitting the centre console Smile I can have a look for you but being in Canada is probably going to you different options to what's available to me mate.

issue with any aftermarket seat and the aftermarket rails,
you're going to sit 1-2inches higher than stock

i have a corbeau fx1 pro with microsuede in my pulsar with the bride rail. i welded on side mounts, cut off the bottom tabs on the seat to get it as low as possible

round town i use a memory foam pillow cushion in the seat

when i compete, i just use a foam knee pad on the seat thats about 1cm tall.

i want to cut out the exhaust/transfer case bump in the chassis so i can mount the seat to the floor level.

Any reason you didn't go with the corbeau rail bracket?

Kuz welding side mounts onto the bride rail was easier than trying to weld up custom everything for me

19Bride rails Empty Re: Bride rails 21st November 2014, 10:49 pm

MonkOnAToilet

Ahh okay, I thought corbeau made a rail for the pulsar also?

Did you buy your seat locally? Or have it shipped in? Do you like the seat?

Thanks for the info.

I haven't sat in one but I was thinking about getting a very similar version at one stage. Side mount will also make mounting easier for you. Have you sat in it? If not try and find a automotive store with a range of seats just so you can get an idea of what you like Smile

Depending if the guy will go down a bit in price I'll go take it for a test sit.

Yeah thought it was abit expensive but the price is always up there when it's a genuine bride

Exactly, he says it genuine. Not sure how to tell though.

See if you can find the answer by following the instructions here, they might not have all seats though
