I think I've got one somewhere but can't remember which side. I'll try and find it.
I found that it's always the wire that breaks and not the sensor. The wire can be replaced/repaired fairly easily.. Just don't damage the old sensor when you are getting it out. Sad

Ye checked the wire only to find it had broken inside the plastic top of the sensor its self.. I've cut it back and soldered it on but not really impressed so I'd like to find another one please

It's actually quite hard to tell the difference until you try it - and then the angles are all wrong. I'll look for mine tomorrow, then work out which side it is, and then take a picture...

As promised - this one is a driver side which I haven't got round to repairing yet. But the differences to note between left and right are

N/s ABS sensor Bracket_zpsc8f1e391

This top bracket is 'handed' so doesn't fit nicely on the wrong side.
The plug/socket has a different ridge on it so it will only plug in on the correct side.

Also the angle of the pick up relative to the mounting bolt is different so the pick up head can only be correctly aligned on one side. Unless you make a custom bracket.. Shocked

Yes as above
Also the plug connections are different for either side
That's not a buggy as you could easily cut that and swap the plugs over
The main thing stopping it fitting is the angled part near the sensor that bolts to the hub as they are both at opposite 60 degree angles when placed alongside each other

Its been taped up and i dont have a clue if it works. So for this fact all i would want is postage covered and you take that risk.
It was taken off a car many many years ago.

Yep - it's definitely the other side to my one, so I hope I got it right.. Very Happy

They all seem to be taped up like that at the bottom, it looks worse on some than others.

Here's a question for all the knowledgeable.

Are the sensor pick-up head units for the front and rear the same.

That is, would a drivers side rear fit into a drivers side front, not considering the wiring, plug and mounting brackets, just the sensor pick-up itself.

If they are interchangeable, then it's also possible that the brackets and plugs could be changed over to fit.

It would be a bit of work but as johnboy has shown in his repair work, not impossible.

The internals are the same and the readings on a multimeter are the same but the location of the bolt hole is different. Saying that though it would be possible to weld a plate on to the side and re drill it I think. You'd just need to make sure the pickup bar was inline with the abs toothed ring on the hub.

Ok, thanks, a fair bit of mucking about, will look further.
