I'm just with Darren about to remove my box. Can we just remove the bell housing to get to the clutch fork?

I think me and Darren May of bit off more than we can chew with this one lol neither of us feel confident to move the box around etc when we are taking it off, it might as well be Darren on his self because I only weigh about 8 stone wet through and I've only got one working arm lol!

Use engine crane on box & support engine with turret bar-beam or jack & wood on suitable area on bottom of engine.
i do these on my own easy enough, box heavy but with 2 people, one controlling crane & one manoeuvring box about as required it quite easy.
Is possible do with just muscle power but using engine crane is far easier & reduces chances of accidents/damage .

Johnny were located just 5 min from where we me up at j27 for the RR day. I can't remember where you are from but I'm sure it was miles away because you offered to help me once before but you were to far away

Mr.B the engine crane idea sounds interesting, I'll have to see if it will be possible to get access to one because that sounds a good idea

Pete cheers for the offer to help but we aren't working on the car tonight because Darren's got his aikido training, think he's going for his pink belt Laughing he showed me one of the things he had been taught and about broke my only good arm lol!

Lol junction 27 of where that was ages ago. Yep am miles away but if you both get really stuck i will do it with my mate we just lift them off. Crane probably is a good idea but by the time you strap it up etc it could be off with 2 people

Don't take 2 minutes put a rope on the box for crane.
Can use a decent jack too with strongest guy on box & Bill on jack :-) adjusting as needed & allowing support & a break as need.
As johnny says can be done easily enough with 2 average strength chaps.
I find it almost as easy on my own with engine support beam & small crane, for sure slower but no real pain or hassle.
First time is always worse as it the learning curve then once done you got a working practice & everything you need to simplify the job.
