Right got my sensor off and wondering what the multi meter reading should be when i test it. Wires seem fine but ill swap em anyway and the sensor itself is now cut off in my hand showing the two wires but i need to know what the reading should say if its good ???

think it should be 12v mate or use the amp setting? if the sensor is knackered you wont get any reading. Thats how ive tested mine in the past to find the faulty sensors. hope it helps

yes run it over a piece of metal so your off and on it then reading should alternate
basically its a magnet which detects a breakage tooth on the ring gear
if the wheel locks then it does not read the gap tooth so will kick abs in
if its fooked then it will not alternate the signal voltage

Well the wire has not broken were i thought but just pulled out of the sensor really easy so im assumeing it was broken there. Tried the magnet test and its working fine so now have to see about repairing it

According to the book the sensor should read about 1k ohm between the two wires. (0.8 to 1.3)

Using this picture you'd need the 2k range and it should then read about 1.000 on the display. Smile
