Just studying offset as im interested in working out what offset to use if/when I buy a new set of alloys.
Standard alloys are 14x6J with an offset of et40. So if I got a set with the same offset but are 7j wide then the wheel is gonna stick out an extra 12mm and is also gonna be 12mm closer to the strut. So if I wanted the outer part of the wheel to be in the same position as the original wheel then the offset would be et52.
Is this right?
