right so im trying to get my alloys off my old sunny and one of the locking nuts has sheared off Mad does anyone have any ideas how to get it off, ive tried an air chisel, tried drilling it but nothing, may be a cutting gas job if it comes to that Shocked

I looked at these, but cant use them as the nut as broke off past the wheel stud and is tight on the wheel so cant get anything over it

Weld a nut on top of what u got left you should be able to fill the weld up in the middle of the nut enough to get a grip on the stud

thats not a bad idea but isn't the nut some sort of alloy, only if it is I dont a have tig welder only arc and mig

Not sure on that one you could try on one you got off already i know ive managed to weld on one before its worth a go if all else fails or how about drill and tap it the wind a bolt in with a nut to lock it off

its a real bummer when this happens as ive had it on a few occasions.
try a punch type chisel and a big lump hammer but heat the thing up first of all with a blow torch so its red hot.

if that dont work then try grinding the stud head from other side of hub with a dremel then pull the whole thing off with the stud
good luck its a horrible job

thanks bob, was thinking off grinding the stud as a last resort but ill try the chisel first with the sledge hammer Twisted Evil

only time i use a hammer anywhere near my car is to warn people away when they say stop wasting money and time on that car lol
