Head clearances adjustment!

Hi,

I've just sent the to a machinist to verify all the clearances and so on.

He told me that he doesn't understand how to set the clearances on the GtiR head.

I have the repair manual....but it's missing some pages.

Can anyone help me with a guidance or something?

I am not an mechanic and ....to be honest I have a hard time figuring what's what:(

what do you mean by clearances on head?

are you talking about head thickness and compression ratio or shim / valve clearances

In the manual it says:

That's the gap between thecam shaft and rocker arm.
The rocker arm and valve gap is more accurate.
