I think he means a local member or 2 with a few tools and the experience of doin a box before. Bill the next statement is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard but if I had the time I would travel down and do it mate but work is crazy busy at the min

Thanks mate that's good of you to offer  thumbsup it's a shame you live so far away and your so busy.

I'm sure Darren would be willing to help me out with anything I need but I don't think he's ever removed the box on a gtir.

It is something I'm going to have to do myself though. I'm suspicious of the clutch fork and I think that's going to be the culprit but I might need a new clutch tbf, I'll just have to see what's what when I finally do get the box off lol

I've got all the tools you'll need bill and your more than welcome to use my garage but I've never just taken the box off. I've always removed the full lump however I have always fancied trying just box removal but I'd like to see someone do it 1st time round and time is my problem as bee's are taking all my spare time at the moment

Pulling just box is very easy really.
as this one been doodled with before like of y-bracket & odd awkward bolt is likely to already be missing making things even simpler.
Main thing when doing just box is get car nice workable height on stands.
An engine support beam is handy too but certainly not needed.
Quicker doing just box if planned well.

No I haven't mate, I tried to have a look but couldn't really see anything down there, I'll have to have another look and see if I can see what's going off in there
