SMOKEY !

my turbo has randomly begun to smoke its ass off on overrun, the cars still running the stock downpipe bolted to a 3" system, could this be the route of my problems? and who sells a good downpipe if so, im guessing this has been asked before before anyone says   

Know one makes a 3" down pipe/system of the shelf mate, you would have to have 1 made by a exhaust company. If you already have a 3" system then I would say someone has had it made, But abit strange why its not running a 3" down pipe aswell?   

Best bet is to get a down pipe made to match/fit the rest of the system.

I cant see it causing you any problems, It will just make it restrictive more than anything!

thanks mate, i just assumed it would be choking the engine a little, looks like more costs it is silly why its running a stock downpipe, i think the exhaust is a mongoose as i have a reciept for one in the folder but i could be wrong

If the system is a mongoose then it will be 2.5" internal bore size. Not 3"

cant be a mongoose then its 100% 3" from what ive seen underside, thats probably an old receipt then, im debating on buying a good used turbo or getting a rebuild, im pretty poor this month so im not sure which route to take

Its the internal bore size you need to measure, Might look 3" on outside but its internaly it should be 3"

ah ! well it has two silencers and then a short backbox, id like to replace it sooner or later as it doesnt pop and crack as much as id like with all those silencers, sounds nice on boost though, best bet is probably a full new system turbo back

Just a stock turbo mate, cant afford much else at the moment, just had a good old chat about a few parts. And he sold me a tomei shifter knob too haha
