Sort some out Saturday Gaz out the bolts box, those bolts have a different thread to any others for some weird reason so are a bitch to find, best bet is grab a handful and try them in one of the transfer cases
Thought you was ordering a new pump so I didn't look

Yeah there not expensive Gaz deffo worth buying a new one, don't think I've got any left anyways as I dumped 3 of them as polarity had been reversed on 2 of them somehow and the other was struggling to put out hardly any fuel
Probably were fake shite pumps

Well ive secured the rear mount & its still the same in reverse, juddering Sad Gues my clutch is on its way out... Looked fine when we did the box tho. plenty of meet & it dousnt slip  scratch  Or maybe a warped flywheel?

I would have thought if it was clutch or flywheel you would of had the judder in any gear? Did you check all the gearbox mounts?

Could be the flywheel gaz but if you didnt remove any of it doing the gearbox  and it was fine before then cant see how ... guess you wont know until something goes ...

mreguest wrote:i hate to be the teller of bad news but this exact thing happened to me and it was a bearing fail in the box. I replaced all the engine and gearbox mounts it just delayed extreme shudder in reverse and i couldn't even force hold it in first gear Sad

i don't know the technical terms but one large bearing got worn out which meant that one of the shafts would move slightly sideways. Just enough for two cogs which should never touch on opposite shafts to clip each other hence spitting it out of gear and in reverse two other cogs rubbing together causing shudder. The cogs that touched were trashed.

I hope I'm wrong but i do fear the worst. The symptoms you mention are identical and engine mounts etc just delayed my second pulsar gearbox swap... You might be able to save yours if you swap it out now and inspect it Sad

good luck!

I'm sorry to bring this up again but spitting it out of 1st and reverse judder is as per my message above. I reported the problem when it happened to me and everyone said replace mounts etc and two weeks later it got REALLY bad and it turned out to be a failed bearing. I wish you all the best with it but I do fear this is the problem. Clutch/flywheel/anything else trouble would surely be in all gears...

If it's any consolation I'm on my 3rd gearbox and my car has never seen more than about 250bhp, everything else that could go wrong has gone wrong to me too, you name it, engine explode, turbo explode... (My car is Trigger's broom from only fools and horses) Simply they are old cars and shit goes badly wrong Sad

All the best dude!

Ok taking in to consideration what "mreguest" has said about the box... Ive noticed that if the clutch is fully released in reverse then its fine (no judder) Its only if im on the biting point in reverse but dous not judder in any other gear.
Setting off in 1st is fine & is fine on gear changes, But if im in 1st & crawling in traffic & dip the clutch it pops out of first unless I hold it in!... It dousnt pop out of any other gear other gears are ok.

Now it could well be the gearbox like "mreguest" has said, BUT could this also be a DIFF issue? Ive checked engine & gearbox mounts & all seem to be ok, no knocking or clunking & engine is solid when you try & rock it.

Right besides popping out of first & realy bad clutch judder in reverse... Its now started popping out of 4th (But only if im on boost then back of the throttle) If im not on boost & back of in 4th then its fine, it stays in gear  scratch

This is obviously a box issue... But before I start taking the box off, Is there anyway it could be a linkage problem?

Clutch seems fine, no slipping & gos in to gears ok... Just the above issueas make me think gear linkage maybe at fault? ie worn bushes or UJ?
