Well been to CPP Motorsport, Evo speacialist & had my mastercylinder fitted & all bled up & only got a slight better pedal feel, So I was ready to jump all over the car in anger  Evil or Very Mad

Anyway the mechanic said let me try something... So he gets a big hammer & starts smacking the hell out of the rear calipers whilst another lad kept pressure on the pedal  scratch  Anyway all of a sudden the pedal went perfect.
Turns out he used to work on VW's that had the same issue & its because over the years when people adjust the handbrake the pistons stick in the rear calipers & don't return & cause a shit pedal & theres a nack to adjusting the handbrake so this dount happen, he explained how but ive forgot  Rolling Eyes

So my pedel is now good & brakes are a little better, but still got poor bite, he said that is down to my pads being very low & also being red stuff which are shit.

So all this time all that needed doing was my rear calipers needed a good TWATING...  Rolling Eyes Laughing

told ya the master cyl we sent was good lol

I asked you about the rear calipers first off gaz and you said they was all good, as that's the first thing you obviously need to check (all calipers operating correctly).
by twatting them with a bosher hes only temporarily solved the problem, they will stick again probably after its been left for a week or two, the snail cam which manually operates the piston in rear calipers is probably seizing, its total bullshit with how you adjust the handbrake.
front pads i already mentioned but still say theres a prob with one side of those front calipers not clamping on disc which is why there still not right

before spending any more money take the things off and get them referbed and a descent set of pads in there
you may also need to pull the rears off and get them sorted too as don't think it will be long before your back to square one again

Rear callipers need be in top condition to work right & also need quality refurb to be of any real long term good.
As Bob said, how you adjust them is bollocks within logic.
I would also expect something like front calipers have pistons sticky on one side or restriction of fluid to one side of caliper (are pads worn uneven on a caliper?), needs full inspection & overhauls as found needed.

To adjust the handbrake, slack off the adjuster on the lever, pump the brake pedal with the engine off till it's solid, then adjust the cable so that there is a gap of approx 1mm between the lever and the caliper body on both sides, you should have between 4 and 6 clicks on the lever, the handbrake should start to "grab" on the first or second click of the lever. Also an easy way to tell if the calipers are working correctly is to push on the brake pedal with the engine off, hold the pressure on and pull the handbrake up and down with the button pushed in, you should be able to feel the pedal moving up and down slightly underneath your foot as the fluid moves back and forth, just my 2p worth guys.

Yeh going to rebuild calipers for piece of mind anyway Smile front pads are nearly down to the metal so need to replace them anyway

I never doubted it wasn't a good M/C Bob Wink just had to change it for piece of mind, but atleast its a new 1 so shouldn't have any issues with the M/C in the future
