Rot box revival!

Well I'm back after being absolutely skint! Just the last bits to get the pulsar on the road. Got a brand new radiator yesterday, from an Almera 2.0 diesel, its the exact same but the core is a good bit thicker, result! Anyway what i am asking is how do you bleed this thing man? Last thing i want is a massive airlock. Had one on a 306 once and it cost me an engine!

Cheers

Jacking car up, releasing coolant and rad hoses, and a Haynes manuel did it for me. Then top up again.
I even removed the radiator just to check it's condition.
I have the UK Sunny Gti calsonic thicker single fan rad.

Best as you fill it have the car running leave cap off and get someone to sqweeze hose as you fill it or keep stopping and do it your self a few times as you add more fluid works everytime for me

Undo bleed screw on thermostat & fill rad until coolent comes out of the bleed screw on thermostat. Put screw back in & nip up.
Then fill rad until full. Start the car & leave it ticking over for 5 - 10 mins with rad cap OFF, until you can see no bubbles coming out of rad!

Check coolant level a few times when you've driven it as you may need to top it up.

That's how I do it & never had an issue Smile

as everyone suggested above
but the quote above sums it up...........pour the coolant in very slowly and your much less likely to get air locks that way.
pour it in fast and airlocks are guaranteed and more bleeding required to remove them from the system
