Hello guys,

I'm new here, i have a question regarding injector as we know gtir stock has low impedance injectors if I wish to upgrade to 700cc or 800cc injectors do I still need the resistors ? or can I eliminate it ?

what other mods do you have  how come you your going quite large on the injectors are you going to be running some serious power i thought standard injectors are good until 330 ish

good question and if im honest I don't really know the answer to it without searching the net

but all I can tell you is that every car ive seen with large injectors still have used the resistor pack whether its because its easy to do that way I just don't know
guess the only way to really find out is to run direct and see what happens but cant see as you would gain anything tbh

I think you can only do away with the resistor pack if you use high impendance injectors, low impendance you need the resistor pack.
Not sure what would happened if you tryed low impendance injectors without resistor pack but i dout it would work correctly and coukd possibly damage the injectors?

Thanks for your answers!....

So what injectors are low impedance?

What good injectors can be use to upgrade on gtir?

evo injectors (560cc) can be good option as sometimes so cheap & easy to pick up. at 4Bar fuel pressure they can handle little over 400hp & at standard fuel pressure around 360 at sensible duty cycle.
600 & 700cc injectors will be good for high 400/mid 500hp. 800cc would be good for a monster 600+ hp build ...

I know in general if you run too low of impedance with respect to what's powering the device in question you can potentially fry the thing you are powering and whatever you are powering it with so I would be careful. I know nothing about injectors but I know in electrical circuits you should pay attention to the resistance rating. Too low of resistance and the circuit becomes unstable.

Evo injectors are pretty cheap, i managed to get hold of a set for £60 delivered! just need to get them mapped in.

Do you have a NIStune ECU? If so, then it's a 2-minute job to change the injectors.

Cheers,
