Can someone tell me what the fuel preasure should be on a GTiR? My car is running rich on idle so going to my mates garage tomorrow to check fuel preasure with a gauge to see if that's my problem.

But could do with knowing what preasure it shoud be? Am I right in thinking it 3bar? & is there a certain way to check it once gauge is fitted?

Think base fuel pressure is 3bar and raises with boost i.e at 1 bar of boost fuel pressure would be 4bar.

I also thought it was 3 bar ..... think there was a discussion on here about it before ....

Yeah 3bar according to some of the older threads and 3.7bar if the VAC line is removed, both pressures at idle

yes 3 bar base rising to around 3.7 on boost
stock fpr is fine unless you are running too small injectors and you want to up the pressure to compensate

Gaz have you got an adjustable fpr then? If so if you adjust it to lean it off on idle, then I think it will run lean across the rev range.

No mate standard FPR, but ive got a direct feed to relay to fuel pump from battery! So if theres to much current then maybe ill have to run it to Ed at fusion as he will have to play with ECU Rolling Eyes

I thought that mod was only to help fuel supply up in the rev range when the pumps working hardest?

Yeh I think it is, but when I had it mapped it was on standard wiring loom & wasn't getting enough power, hence why ive done the direct feed mod! It may not be fuel preasyre that's mt problem, just want to rule it out

i was under the impression it was to keep the volts going to the pump as the wiring is old in these cars and can lose there effectiveness

Yeah that's what i sort of meant; when the fuel pressure raises when on boost its working the pump harder and the old wiring etc causes a voltage drop.
