what kind of wheel suits to the GTiR?

So, i decide to open a thread dedicated to wheels (as i'm mad of these!!) mounted on the GTiR.

the aim is to gather all the pics and wheels nam and spec to get some choice and see what it will fit or not.

here an interested link on the modifiers with a NZ guy who tested some rims on his car....and special wheels.

perfect Gaz! i'm planning to sandblast mine as rusty parts have made paint bubbling, so i will respray them like the third pics...light metallic grey.

did you roll your fenders with the lowering of your car? i have some 215 tyres on mine and they are sliced by the wings on the sides....

No mate, never had an issue with arches, ET 40 are just short of contact with the arches

But I think 16' would fill out the arch a bit better

About the xxr, they are a lot wider actually, they are et0 and 8.25 wide...so they poke out a little 4cm more

Im going with xxr 17x8.25 as I have custom widened guards.

Anyone know any wheels that are 17x8+

Superturismos in white or black are very nice & compliment the Rs shape very well.
MOs don't work for me as look a bit soft :-S & prefer rim style that do not have spokes protruding beyond rim edge & dish out to rim as give appearance of wider stance & don't damage so easily if curbed etc.

Would there be any way possible to fit a set of these to an ir ? I have a dream :/
