I used some road traffic film remover once and it took every coat of polish the car had ever had on it off, never seen anything like it.Thought I'd killed the paint as it all went streaky but was fine after a couple of washes.

Solvent degreaser or washing thinners when the panel is dry. Any water just acts as a cover.
And solvent and water will just seperate when the touch so it must be dry!!
If your near ish (Kent) I'll donate some.

i knew that with the fairy liquid, on some types of paint it can remove the pigment colour, especially with red.
i was also told that t cut does the same due to some chemical its made with...whether its true or not i just dont know but i dont use it especially on newly painted cars
