I decided 2013 was my year, and that I was going to put my full commitment into everything I did...

I give up smoking about 5 weeks ago.
Joined a gym 3 weeks ago.
Started my diet 2 weeks ago.

I have lost 1 stone since I started my diet 2 weeks ago (11th march)

Gone from 18st 12 to 17st 12 :-)

I can't see the weight change but I've been told I look slimmer lmfao

All I eat every 2 to 3 hours a day is 100g or cooked brown rice with 100g of tuna or chicken with a splash of light mayo. And sometimes a couple of boiled eggs, just the whites not the yolks.
I start the day off with oats and skimmed milk.
And have a protein shake before and after training.

I'm doing 20 mins a day cardio and just over 1 hour weight lifting.

I really do feel better in myself now I don't smoke and I train instead of doing feck all!

Should hopefully have my gutt off come summer. Then I'm gonna take up mma training again :-)

So far 2013 is running to plan :-)

Just thought I would share this with you homo's lol

Im doing a similar sort of thing at the min. Not realy to loose waight but more for fitness & i totaly agree i feel alot better in myself & only been at it 3 weeks!

Started Boxing/mma training 2 nights a week with a lad thats been doing martial arts training for 22 years, so you can imagaine he puts you threw your paces lol

And also doing half hour of cardio fitness to warm up before the boxing/mma training, so ive started doing that at home now every night (FEEL THE BURN) lol

Realy enjoy it & feel alot better!

Eating wise im just eating a healthy tea at the min & skipping breakfast & dinner!

Never could be botherd with all this fitness lark, but now ive started its becoming addictive lol Wink

How dous that protine shake work Stu? is it worth it??

Protein feeds the muscle when you have it before you train, and it helps heal the muscle faster after you've trained! It basically feeds the muscle before during and after training mate.
I have put myself on a high protein diet and cut out all of the carbs.
Rice I believe has carbs but brown rice not as much.

I did mma training years back aswell mate, the warmup was enough for me lol

I've never been into training/exersize... It does get addictive lol I'm watching everything I eat and guilt is massive when or if I cheat lol

Ahh so it dousnt put waight on you to buld your muscles & then you have to burn it off? Basicly just helps repai/heels muscles?

Yeh the warm up is enough for me but its the feeling of pushing yourself hrew it iswhat i like, coz you feel good in yourself afterwards

It does make you bulk up, there's different types of protein shake. Mine is a diet protein.

I want to loose weight and bulk muscle build. So I'm dieting on protein and lifting heavier weights at low reps...

So do you drink the shake instead of eating as much?

All im thinking is, my instructor says you dont need to lift waights to tone yourself up? Just by making yourself burn doing the streches is enough to tone up?

So obviusly i dont want to put any waight on so what shake would i go for?

Just asked mum & she said if she dousnt take them for about 3 days she can tell as she feels down & she said they can make you put waight on Shocked

You may be on a totaly different tablet tho? shes on thyroxine tablets

ah right clare just looked and there levo thyroxine tablets
only time will tell I guess but if you got more energy technically you should burn more calories hense lose weight.

btw the shakes re a good thing to take as stu says, it don't necessarily mean youll bulk up unless you start lifting heavy weights and ripping the muscles

gaz as stu mentioned some of the diet protein shakes are really good get the right one and it will act as a meal replacement/suplement you wont or dont have to gain size they just help/aid muscle repair and help stop the burn and pain lots of people take it who just do cardio an there not training or lifting weights for to bulk up in size just to keep fit

Sorry Gaz, I went to the gym, then had to go to an engagement party.
Just got back.
I make my shake before I go to the gym, drink it then make one for when I've finished training.
The one I'm using is £22 for 500g which is 15 servings so only lasts a week.
I can get 5kg for £46 but I'm happy using what I'm using for now.

I don't use mine as a meal replacement, I use it as added protein source.
I'm eating 5 times a day but only 200 grams of food. If I get hungry at night I've been told to have a shake.

Well just had a trip to the shops for my new health food as ive just downloaded a new app on my phone "adrian james 6 pack abs workout" the app is 69p & looks like a good workout.

A freind told me about it, it gives you exersises, workout with timing, challenge, & meal plan for the week & its not a bad plan either Smile

Just to let you all know that posted on this thread about the app!

How you getting on with your diet Stu?
