Cheers man
I'm sure mine was a six rib, does it matter? My car had air con but I've decided not to keep it cos Scotland never gets that warm!

just get a piece of string and wrap it round the pulleys where the belt will go, tie it off and theres your template for when you go to a motorfactors Very Happy

I just brought a 4pk845 (which alot of people run) and its massively too big on mine, what length do other people run? I haven't bothered to measure it yet Laughing

Qbr 6838 quinton hazel drive belt
Qbr 4925

Alt and aux belts I run both quinton hazel part numbers

Ps 6 rib alt belt I just think it sits on pulley better and more so if pulley is uprated

I find same on couple I done. 845 too big or at best tensioner at max
Other end of scale was 825 and that too tight really .
Those sizes used/mentioned as popular and easy find.

I ended up going with 6PK835 in end (skf belt)
Had tried dayco which matched 830 direct cross interchange but is actually 825.5  so tight .
6PK835 was easy get as used on daihtsu and Subaru, skf was less than 400baht .
I still use air-conditioning on road car, I'm soft lol ...

Thanks B I was thinking Id get an 830 but good point about it actually being smaller than listed, maybe ill go an 835 to be safe. Its weird that 845 was too big, guess we have a smaller alternator pulley.

An 830 that was 830 would be good, I asked for 6rib 830 belt from good brand, they had dayco on shelf so snatched there hand off, when tested it found same issue as 825 (it tight fit)
compared to 825 & found same & when checked dayco details found its effective length was 825.5 :-/
SKF VKMV-6PK830 was next best option when went back, nice belt and at 400Bt (14AUD) couldn't complain .
using length of rope & setting pulley at half adjustment is how got my idea on length .
I've done 2 pulsars with these belts as seem ideal fit, I would say anything from 830 to 838 would work, I like 6 ribbed as looks proper fit & lasts way better .

Haha not just here then :-)
all common ones that parts matched 830 seemed that way when I looked into it deeper, 835 & 836 was next size which seemed easier source & lengths as stated plus being middle ground of 825<>845 was a safe bet that worked out perfect & cheap .
