Is it possible to run a coil on plug set-up using a nistune ECU?

Or would it require additional hardware to do this?

I've spent so much time and money on my nistune the last thing I want to do is replace it

It would require a custom piggy back setup to run the COP off a nistune .

Yes but you would need to run a S15 ecu, if you want to stay with nistune, plus i think the S15 ecu uses a different type nistune bourd to the GTIR... So if you cant get your bourd swapped over when having it tuned, then you would have to find a S15 ecu with nistune already fitted or but the nistine again... Would prob be cheaper going for a better standalone for the price... As nistune is shit Laughing & yes i run nistine aswell haha

Ditch the nistune Gaz Wink

They are nothing more than a piggyback daughterboard and troublesome.

Ask Ajay, he had his nistune mapped by a certain numpty gtir specialist, the car was sluggish, drivability and fuel economy were very poor as was outright performance.

We fitted a standalone Apexi ecu and mapped her, now the car is a rocket ship with excellent drivability, performance!

The nistune piggyback board is plagued with glitches, not a patch on a standalone ecu and a sloppy second compared to even the cheapest standalone unit!

Its a case of you get what you pay for Wink

I must admit I not completely happy with the tune. It doesn't feel quite right. It seems to be holding back. I think the drive ability was better when it was running the mines.

Yeh i admit nistune is poo lol, thats why i say it would be better going standalone Laughing just as im on average 300bhp nistune suffices till i win lotto & can afford Syvecs Twisted Evil

S15 is type 4 daughterboard (rnn14 is type 3) and connectors/wiring needs changing/adaptors .
Price of standalones so cheap and better/flexible capability it hard justify buying nistune new but if had one used next to free it could be worth playing with, ideally want jdm ecu to avoid nat transponder or bypassing it .

Sorry my mistake, i meant a 180 ecu with shitune not s15... But as said, not worth it for the price standalone

I can do you loom to run ecumasters emu. Well I can fit it and map it as well just don't expect much change from £2.5k depending on spec and ecu. But then you can flog nistune maf ebc and othet thing you won't need it with emu. I can do it cheaper tho without coils and just pnp adaptor.
Here you've got some info about it

+1 on that... you can get much better results than nistune or pfc even wit stuff like megasquirt!
