Project...underway

I've got space for a double fan across the IC...our IC pipes are coming straight over the top rather than off the corners...and the rad is a lot longer...I didn't put the dims up showing it as I like to leave a few surprises!
Mine will be a true RS500 Rep using an over sized RS500 core rather than a look alike as such...

Short pipe run and larger core and larger rad is win win
So you are having a bigger void between the rad and ic aswel and it will also have fins between them?

I'm not trying to kill your dream mate.
Just asking questions and putting up known similar things to gather more info.
I'm just interested

Building it with a carbon fibre tunnel which locks it all together so no air can leak out the sides between the gaps! also have a mist water spray system on the front of the IC just for the final touch...:O))

No that's cool - I did look at the rad tech kit before we started but I wanted a true RS500 IC set up (65mm core)

Everyone has a view which is cool - we don't all want to be the same do we!

Well hopefully everyone is interested in what we are trying to pull off now

Aiming to be done in 6 weeks ish - then down to Bobs to have my bag of goodies fitted (PLUS I NEED TO PAY HIM - sorry Bob!!!!)

Then we will see how it performs - it the Power FC units and the normal bits required plus being mapped....desperate to break 400BHP!!!

Before we stripped it - running strong at 320bhp at 0.9 bar

Just out of interest how much does it cost to have this cooler and rad combo made? I think the rad tech and spec r set up were around £900

For the Custom IC, Rad, Blades, fans etc... and customs pipes to be done - basically £1200ish

The cost was kept down by the fact we could use the off the shelf RS500 over sized core they build regularly otherwise it get messy ( They just built new customer IC for the GTR - checkout their site...buts it about £3000-4000)
They build some amazing kit - if your happy to part with the cash at the end of the day...I always just say you cant take it with you and your along time dead!!

I found Chris who is there main tech man a really top guy to deal with.

Sorry not been in contact but as usual I'm struggling with volume of work despite taking on another guy.

Car will be interesting to map and see what we can get from her but that certainly looks to be a quality piece of kit but need to discuss a few things with you to make sure you get the best from what's fitted

UPDATE: Intercooler and Rad kit just arrived!! got some good pics which I think Leighton is about to put up when I send them over!
