Evening all,
Just got home after having a disaster with my clutch - as in its gone Sad
Anyone know which clutch I should be getting fitted?
I've been offered a Helix paddle clutch apparently good for 500BHP should I continue to upgrade...any thoughts? (I am running around 300bhp currently)
A real shame as was hoping to run on the Dyno with Bob on Saturday - this might have to wait now until its sorted.
Never mind - soon be back on the road!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
Cheers

Evening!
Just coming to a junction - compressed the clutch...heard a small click at the bite point and then couldn't get into any gear.
Clutch pedal compresses and de-compresses as normal but does seem to be do anything with the clutch so you can not get into any gear.
With the engine off can still swap between gears...so seems clutch plate has gone?? Clutch pedal still heavy but clicks at the bit point rather than operates the clutch.
Don't think it can be anything else? unless anyone has another theory.
Cheers

It was the clutch - Bobs got some great pictures if he puts them up! lucky for me he had a Exedy Cluctch around to replace it with.
He's also done the clutch folk and a few other bits (think there was a clutch pedal box problem too)...hopfully by Saturday all running smooth a safe:P

As always there are a few minor issue to keep an eye on but Ill get them sorted as and when - Just want to enjoy the beast for a while 1st before I commit to time off the road! The car is a treat already - but perfection is always the aim!

Hopfully I can put some names to faces as I'll be down most the day on saturday - should be a laugh!! (It is the rolling road weekend right?)

yes its this weekend Daniel  Wink

the clutch centre plate has broken up and spring hanging out of it
pressure plate is knackered and release bearing too
clutch fork almost worn through pivot point also so not a pretty sight, obviously had some extreme abuse in its past, probably as a getaway car  Laughing

Least the car has found a good home now - with me:) (did you see how the paint work has polished up a treat - its an awesome car)

Years of fun ahead I can tell Cool

1st plans - get the arches perfect - sort front bumper and the scratches - fully leather interior - possible fully re-spay on the cards - keeping the wheels as they look great...going to blast them down and re-spay again in black.
