CV boots are easily sourced for the R

The Outer front boots & actual joints are same as the gti, primera & almera so easily sourced & CHEAP
ICP do new outer joint complete inc a boot for less than £30 http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts_info.asp?id=1434&cat=87&sub=119&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart=

Blueprint do all front boots
front outer ADN18111 (can be used on rear outer too if wanted)
front inner RH ADN18119
front inner LH ADN18170 - now ADN18141 (superseded)

Blueprint suggested rears 'now fully tested'
Rear inner (left & right) ADN18167 (exact size match in part catalogue, now tested by Mr Burrows1980 & perfect fit,post38 page3)
Rear outer (left & right) ADN18111 ( used these myself & they fit fine)

ICP do great quality boots for the R and at around £7 very affordable
* Be careful with ICP as found rear inners not good fit & also not always supplying all boots in SolidAuto brand, post19 page2 .
front outer http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts_info.asp?id=1433&cat=87&sub=119&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart=
front inner RH http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts_info.asp?id=8376&cat=87&sub=119&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart=

Rear Inner http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts_info.asp?id=9976&cat=87&sub=119&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart=
Rear Outer http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts_info.asp?id=9975&cat=87&sub=119&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart=

Complete set of 8 boots for the R would cost under £60 using ICP & blueprint for the front LH boot ...

First Line parts do the front outers
PART NUMBER: FCB 2062
BRAND: First Line
PRICE: £4.90
also do front right inner
PART NUMBER: FCB 6031

^ Re: rear inner boot >

Measures of rear inner boots are:
   Top Diameter:22 mm
   Bottom Diameter:83 mm
   Height:106 mm

the part is used on a load of almera, bluebird & sunny b12 y10 n13 models for starters.
Nissan P/N is 3974163Y25 (left/right same part)
I believe P/N's below are of pattern part direct interchange parts
NIPPARTS J2881002
HERTH+BUSS J2881002
ASHUKI     0864-2001
BLUEPRINT ADN18167

using above you should be able source it from good motor-factors ...

^ Good idea while they all off, if that works out easy at motor-factors & you need any of other boot numbers crossed i'll see what can dig up on them .

Nissan P/N is 3924163Y25 (left/right same part)
NIPPARTS J2861002
ASHIKA 63-00-012
BLUEPRINT ADN18111

Hey B where did you get the measurements for the boots? I'm just looking for the measurement of the rear outer.

Measures of rear outer boots are:
Top Diameter:22 mm
Bottom Diameter:86 mm
Height:99 mm

Those measures are based on parts database cross match boot from nissan part number 3924163Y25.
height range is 99 to 106mm on matching boots.
The R front Blueprint outers do actually fit rear outers fine .

Thanks B, I was just ebaying looking for cheap boots in Aus. People have used n14 front outers on the R. Which I thought would mean they'd be ok on the rear. The one I came across was abit different though.

Top diameter 23.5
Bottom diameter 85
Height 93

What part brands are popular in oz woody ?
You got blueprint, nipart, jako !?

That size don't look optimum but may still fit.
The sunny gti, Almera gx/sri to name 2 are same front outer cv knuckle & thus boot so find that & you got front & rear outers sorted.

I'm actually not to sure about brands B, my local auto store had kelpro and another brand but I'll need to investigate more. Just having a look blueprint is extremely expensive.

You should be able use the Blueprint numbers & get your autofactor to match it in brands they do . the nippart numbers also normally easy cross as about 3 brands that use same basic number.

Finally got round to fitting the rear CV boots before putting the shafts back in.  Bought them from ICP, but got a problem!  The Inner boots they sent are:

Solid Auto N116007

They are too big by about a mm, typed the part number into google (other search engines available Laughing ) a website that came up showed other cross interchange parts one being BLUE PRINT ADN18111 which is the Rear Outer Boot.

So it seems like they have sent me 4 outer boots of different makes affraid   The Outer ones they sent are First Line FCB2062, after checking their website they are Outer Nissan Boots, and fit perfect.

Seen me arse now as it means ive gotta take the spider assemblies off again Evil or Very Mad grrrr

Gaz

I would have a moan at ICP
inner joint is 2-3mm smaller on large boot end. ADN18167 is one that looks right to me based on cross chect to nissan original boot but not tested one yet.
ADN18111 is outer & does fit front perfect & back outer fine too as used them myself.
miss match of branded parts would pi55 me off even if had fitted. SolidAuto are good parts .

Emailed them before Mr B, hopefully gets sorted quickly. Did think about wrapping the joint with a few turns of insulation tape Laughing

Tightened it down as much as I could get it but could still pull it off, just feels really sloppy. Think id cry if that came off and made a mess of my shiny bits Laughing

See if they can match it correctly with SolidAuto boot either via the adn number or nissan p/n on first page somewhere.
pretty stupid supplying basically outers in 2 brands, the firstline are cheap ones too, get them for under £5 each .
If they can't do them try my suggested ADN18167 from local decent friendly trade motorfactor as should be under £10 each .

Err ICP response was a little annoying!

Both boots we have sent are correct,

N116007/FCB2062 are the same boot just different manufactures,

I have just checked all the boots on the shelf and they all have a diameter of 84mm on the CV joint although the N116007 looks larger it is just a slightly thicker boot.

So fired back an email with a lot of info on and asked for a refund.. Glad its not a daily drive!
