Whilst the engine is out I want to bin the abs pump & fit non abs proporting valve.
Has anyone else done this before? I've had a quick look & it looks like I will need to make 2 new brake pipes from master cylinder to proporting valve. Would this be correct?
Thanks in advance

I have a car with no abs from factory with no engine. I could take some pictures today if you would like?

If you could grim that would be great. I've just stripped the pump out & it looks like I need to run 2 new pipes from master cylinder to proporting valve. Would be nice to compare pipe work to a non abs car.
Thanks

This is where the proporting valve goes. 4 pipes are for each corner of brakes

These 2 pipes (that I'm pointing to) would go from master cylinder to abs pump & will now go directly to proporting valve.
I think I may be able to cut & modify the 2 pipes just before proporting valve.

ideally you need a single piston brake proportioning valve james

I may possibly have one in stock as we broke a non abs model a week before I went away if that helps and you don't have one that is

Only pick I can see from mine, I modified 2 lines to fit from the mastercylinder, the 2 lines for the rears bolt straight in and I got to custom lines made up for the fronts.

Thanks for the pics whytie. Much appreciated.
Bob if you do have one I will take it. I do have one but it didn't come from a gti-r so would be better if I can be sure it's correct. Can you also have a look & see if you kept the two pipes that come from the master cylinder to the proporting valve as that would save me making some Laughing

Although other bias valves will be easy to fit they will differ slightly in pressure split so needs checking .

If you can keep that to one side for me please bob. Do you have the two pipes from master cylinder to proporting valve? I will pm you this evening as I've got more bits I need so may get it all in one hit.

Bringing this alive again. Can someone comfirm. What way the pipes go from the master cylinder. Ie mc front pipe to bottom or top on the proporting valve. It's hard to tell from the pics. Thanks
