well here my latest resto/project if anyones interested bought car from runcorn for £3k, sold about £500 of bits off it so really cost £2.5k and has nismo parts and other goodies which i'll keep on

bought car like this

then a few days later looked like this

bit of rust in floor pan

completeing cleaned the underside no rust left, zinc primed it and then several layers of undersealer this photo is just of the primer though

did have a body kit to fit but decided against it after a while, so heres the car as it stands

powdercoated and refurbed panels, all new balljoints, bushes, cables soon to be recon brakes etc

just need some more service parts and put some of the interior back in then I can think about getting a new engine and gearbox before the end of summer

bit of an update, but not much as I haven't had the work this year Sad, car was meant to be finished by christmas but now put it back to easter

so put front lights on to check that everything aligns together

then fitted floor carpet front and rear, rear being out of my old sunny, test fitted rollcage which Ive got powdercoated, washer bootle is going to be taken out as it looks shite so bought a smaller universal bottle which hopefully will fit somewhere in the engine bay or behind the bumper. And also to drown out the exhaust noise abit ive used the sunny rear speakers which fit on top of the struts, but unfortunately forgot to fit the nismo strut brace Mad so may fit them later if necessary.

then I used my old sunny doorcards which where in mint condition and got them reupholstered in the same material as what most bucket seats have so presonally I think they look tidy.

also wanted your thoughts on these catches ive got, not sure which way to set them in, see what you lot think

also had a recon gearbox and will be in touch with bob in the new year for recon engine but nothing ridiculous Cool

Very nice tom got some good effort gone into it. .... I think the catches are more personal prefference i see most have them like pic 1 on the cars ive seen. ....but aslong as the wind cant get the latch up thats the only thing i would consider you dont want that flopping up in your face lol

thanks guys Smile I wanted these catches because they are lockable, didn't want to park in the middle of wrexham or shrewsbury and some nobhead opens the bonnet Evil or Very Mad cant do anything else as the bonnet is grp so cant fix original latch to it.

little update, cleaned and painted front calipers ready for new seals and pistons etc

after

bonnet catches are in place ready to be bolted down, but need to put an aluminium plate underneath to strengthen them first, also both front buckets seats are now in place with harnesses, (what a sodding job they where Evil or Very Mad)

main aim of the whole project was to have a 20 year old pulsar with minimum rust, top quality paint job (whichever colour it was gonna be) and reliable but nippy car for its age Very Happy I dont want it to be nme replica only I thought if im spending the money on paint I might aswell have the car stand out Twisted Evil and so far many of my friends and neighbours cant wait for a spin in it Shocked
