Because im quite sad..... ive been thinking about the difference between the pulsar and rasheen as you say the chasis is identical .... the kerb wieght for a pulsar is 1220kg and the rasheen is 1310kg..... im wondering where the extra wieght has come from ?

The underneath is the same, but on top it has extra metal where it's higher and from memory extra windows but could be wrong

you must be bored Leighton  Laughing

the rasheen is actually no higher than a pulsar
guessing here but I would say the extra weight comes from the larger wings on the front
spare wheel plus fittings on the rear tailgate
split (2 part) rear tailgate
4 doors instead of two

all of which I intend on leaving in place lol
my theory being to minimise weight at the front but add weight to the rear to cut down on understeer 'hopefully'
fit a fast spooling big tubby with lots of power to cart the extra weight about including my slim 12st mass  Laughing
drop the car as low as possible and run as wide a track as pheasibly possible

more so than a pulsar I need to keep the car as low as I can if im keeping it weighty, (bit like the gtr) if weights low to the deck and evenly distributed it should handle very nicely

Your starting to sound like a real rasheen enthusiast now bob Laughing I think you secretly think the rasheen is a truely beautiful machine  Razz

Im looking forward to following this project, good luck with it bob. I'm sure the finished result will be one hell of a machine disguised under that grotesque body  Laughing

I just like weird looking things bill, theres certainly no doubting its ugly but that's the appeal when the ugly little bug goes storming past all the super cars on the track.
il be laughing so much il probably end up wrapping it into an Armco

I used to hire these out in spain a few years ago and drive them about, laughing so much at the look on peoples faces I couldn't see where I was going  Laughing

I've got to admit I would love to drive the rasheen, the looks on peoples faces would be priceless, it would be  funny with a stock GTIR lump in it never mind what it's going to be running.

Wow that Qpod lol! I bet those things are a right laugh Laughing

yeah I bought 15 of them and a big lorry then drove down to benalmadena in spain to set the business up but came back after 6 months as wasn't paying off so I sold them all and the lorry too.
we had 7 50cc 3 wheelers and 8 350cc 4 wheelers

you cant help laughing your nuts off when driving them especially when it comes to traffic light grand prix with some nutter on a scooter  Laughing

just got my new super duper wide wheels for the rasheen lol
these are almost 12'' wide so should be able to run 285 wide rubber on them no problem, not far short of the ones on my gtr and massive offset on them Shocked

what ya reckon? bit dusty but there mint condition

Wow, do these still clear the inner sections of the arches (springs, strut, etc.)? They look massively wide  Shocked

no not quite dave
im running leda coilovers but they will need a 10mm spacer to clear them, il also have to fit wide arches to it but the thing should stick to the tarmac with that amount of rubber on the car lol plus they will clear my ap 6 pots and 335mm rotors with ease

Are you planning on running generic spacers? Or those snazzy (but expensive) hubcentric spacers? Just curious as I may need a set for my car too............  Smile

Glad to see things moving along!
