Hi Bob (and the rest of the gang),

I just thought I'd say hi. Following my years of membership on the GTiROC and NissanGTiR forums, I thought I'd join here too so I could say thanks to Bob for agreeing to post GTiR items to me in Northern Ireland at such reasonable p&p rates (unlike most eBay sellers!) Very Happy

Cheers!
Dave

Haha! No, not quite a top secret project - just one which is taking a LOT longer to complete than I first thought..................

I will get pics/spec up soon, but in a nutshell I have 2 GTiRs:

1: 1994 Nissan Pulsar GTiR in the rarest of all colours: black Laughing This is the GTiR which I am (slowly) turning into a track-based car. I have accumulated many, many race-spec parts, most of which are sitting in my garage and still waiting to be fitted Rolling Eyes My excuse for this is I'm currently getting my garage sorted with a full-rise lift, air-lines and other fun toys which will make working on the car more of a joy. My real problem is being a bit of a perfectionist. If I just fitted the parts as soon as I get them, then the car would be out on the track already! However, every time I remove a part I think "Hmm, I could clean this up and give it a coat of paint", which is why most of the car is currently in pieces in the garage! Soon I will get cracking - just need to get the garage finished Embarassed

2: 1992 Nissan Sunny GTiR in white. My UK-spec GTiR is in 99.999% original condition. The only thing I'm missing is a set of standard 14" wheels. I've seen these come up on eBay etc, but the problem is getting them shipped to Northern Ireland. As soon as I see a set which I can get over here I'll snap them up!!!! Then I'll have a completely original UK GTiR with only 60,000 miles from new. Pictures will follow, although I'll not post up this car's spec since it's entirely standard Very Happy

Cheers guys,
Dave

will be good to see the spec on the track car dave.

trouble being in ireland is that theres hardly any tracks i believe or are you planning rallying or sprints etc?

i know what you mean regarding the painting of bits etc as im like that with my tvr, had it almost a year and sorting certain bits out on it, ive dropped all the rear diff at the moment and cleaning painting everything...reckon itll all be in bits soon lol

Hi Dave, and welcome to the forum.
It's good to hear that someone else is actually trying to get a car back to standard. I've managed to get a set of original alloys but now I find that no one actually makes the tyres to fit them any more.
Apparently 195-55-14 aren't made any more... Crying or Very sad
John
