How hot does the car get when you have been for a run or does it get a little warm when you have been driving for a bit? id take a guess that somebody has took the thermostat out. ...

Leighton the temp just slighty stays over C?....Well under halfway even after a good run? The thermostat is still there but the fans were kicking in past halfway and car would show overheating hence the reason the fans are always on now

more than likely the thing is airlocked
put your hands on heater pipes going into bulkhead if one is cold then its a blocked heater matrix under dash, if both pipes are cold then its either airlocked or possibly a blow on headgasket pumping air into coolant system
this is all assuming your stat is working correctly

A blow on headgasket? does that mean headgasket is knackerd?
I'll check as soon as am home from work if both pipes are cold?

another thing to try is let it run with the rad cap off and get all the bubbles out and that will tell you if its got an airlock, rad flush worked for me slightly as it was blocked up at the matrix so pour some in for a week or so then get the system flushed out

Thanks for info
I have noticed that the heaters are blowing warm air but not Hot and the rad cap doesn't seem to be hot enough to burn your hand like it normally does?
As Bob said i checked the 2 hoses going to the bulkhead next to the fuel filter they were both boiling hot and so was the hose going to the thermostat scratch

if both hoses are hot then water must be circulating through the matrix but sometimes if some of the waterways are totally blocked then water will bypass them and run through the unblocked ones.
if i ewr you i would disconnect both pipes from the big metal pipe and put a hose on there and back flush it under pressure.
then do as digifaze suggested above

the only other possibility is your slide heater control is not working correctly hence not shutting off cold air valve as it should do

Have you checked the cable first make sure its working on the matrix before you go stripping shit off. ... I presume bob is on about the two pipes you checked to see if they were hot the one to take of is the one that goes on the big metal pipe from what i gather from what bob said is that must be the out on the matrix so by pushing water down that way it will be back washing the matrix. ... Am i right lol
