Gtir winter green project AUS

Spent the day building the back part of the interior and ran my live cable down the left side of the car, fitted mint under the plastic covers that runs the wiring to the rear. Breaker on order and small battery to be fitted in to the tool box area..

stereo mounted on its brackets, and black dials are coming for the main gauges as I don’t like the white ones..

rear brakes all cleaned and getting painted..

also got round to painting the black NISSAN” on the front calipers..

also cleaned up the rearsway sway bar and bushes come up a treat just need the whiteline sticker...????????

Just purchased the 5 stud conversion hubs, so will be running a PCD of 5x114 set up more choice of wheels and should be easier to clear the bigger brakes on the front

What calipers are they ? ....

Yeh there is brackets to adapt to the N14 Hubs, I am also running r33 gtr front rotors at 324mm,

Started to strip the suspension arms and front and rear sway bars removed,

front shafts removed and oil drained, noticed underneath going to need a shifter boot and oil seal slight leak coming out of the shaft area. Need some part numbers.

Rear wheel bearings removed and ready for the 5 stud conversion hubs.
Found most bushes to be seized but rear subframe going to be removed powder coated and re-bushes,

next on the purchase will be a floor press for all the bushes and bearings.

So looking at the pulsar today thinking I really should not strip anymore until I’d finished one section, waiting on parts for the interior so that’s at a standstill, need to order rear bearings,

so I had a moment and stripped the rear, came apart very easy I’ve lubed everywhere to make sure everything can in-done..

stripped subframe down ready for all arms etc to be sandblasted,

ive also got all my rusty bolts in hydrochloric acid to clean up.. obviously in a well vented area while am away at work for a week... ????

Slow progress this week off..

been working on on a couple other projects

bought bc coilovers and started cleaning and sealing the wheel arches,

also so the breaker arrived for the battery on the tool box area installation and also ran my cables, cut out a nice rubber mat to hold the battery in place and there will be 2x straps to go over the battery..

my rear right seat seat belt arrived so that got installed,

also started zinc plating my bolts etc for the rear..,

also so sneak preview of 1 of my front door cards have been finished waiting on more material to turn up.,

go again in another weeks time.. ????????????

Nice update mate, progress is always rewarding

So these are waiting for me when I get home.. But along way off installing.. got to finish the arches off and the rest of the suspension components. Also next time I am back getting my mate with a welder to put some tabs of the rear subframe to stop the caster adjusters from breaking away...... as per Nissans optional advice.



Also my Mrs's found the little one playing in the garage... :laugh:

Its very much frowned upon but I am trying to get it reintroduced

Slow progress this break but any progress is going forward..

dropped all my nuts and bolts etc off the get acid dipped then yellow galvanized,

front door cards completed. (Just need collecting)

Coilovers on there way will be here for next week,
all arches etched back and painted,

steering wheel set set off for restoration, trying something let’s see how it comes back.. ????

also having the rear subframe caster tabs welded for streghth then sandblasting and then powered coated then start to rebuild with full new bush set..

Not a lot done on the car coilovers and door cards started to be fitted.. back to work try again next week

Got the same Coilovers mate. Mine were made in 2011 and are a bit worn out, so I'm replacing them with Fortune Auto 500's, which are digressive damped. I'm excited to see the change.

Really good project progressing nicely! Going to be better than new by the time you've finished it! good effort!

That's th plan keeping is nice and simple looking but with the add extras under the hood, extra, no expense spared, I know whats going to have I am going to build the car collect all the parts that are need then tear it all back to a shell for full body repair and re-paint..

Managed to spend a day on the R, got the coilovers all fired up which I could build the rear boot interior back together.

also started the battery cables and fit out to the rear tool box area, where the slimline battery is going to fit, fitted the 150 amp breaker in place also.

new re-trimmed front door cards in place, drivers window switch missing a clip so will need to be repair replaced to hold in.

Trying to find a stereo connector so I don’t chop in to the standard loom. They stereo can be mounted
