Ok just measured one of the new joints and its at 39.2mm!?
Is that right, thought they were meant to be 38mm?
Theyre moog k9633's and part numbers on box (40160- 50y00) check out ok.
Will these fit or will i need to get creative or even change them?

Cheers for now,

Mike

Several of the makers mention "Outer diameter [mm]: 39". So I would guess that your 39.2 might be closer than your 38mm.

I remember it as 38.2mm but could vary pending on if you got oem rnn14 arms or been replaced for n14 arms . Choice will be 38.2 or 39.2, some manufacture bj's could be 0.1mm variation on that .
Measure old bj's and arm bore, if wishbone hole small bit of cleaning with die grinder and a 39.2 would fit .

That's why I posted the link as it has quite a few variants with diameters listed .... thought it would be usefully with cross reference ...

Ok the originals were 38mm, bah!
After fighting to get the joint split initially i introduced the arm to mr dremel and opened up the bore to circa 38.7mm. A fair bit of jiggling sockets around in the vise and its in!
Nice snug fit too Smile
Ill finish cleaning the arm up, give it a lick of paint then thats one side done.
Not an entirely pleasant experience but at least its done and i now know whats in there. Was fooking snowing at times too Sad
Cheers for all the info guys, much appreciated as always Very Happy

Least you got it to fit ... better to be a real snug fit than rattling around in there .....

Hope this helps.

Trouble is some 38mm joints can be bit loose fit in a well used old arm bore .
Ideally want 38.2+ joint for good interference fit .
trw jbj182 would be same as adn18631 or delphi tc600 .
Least with the bigger moog you can set you interference in the arm plus it a nice quality and greasable joint .
Working in cold and snow would be a no for me :-S
