I was scanning ebay for some running in oil in 20l barrels as I'll need it for mine and mates car (3 oil changes each makes sense to buy 20l) and I've come across this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RUNNING-IN-OIL-API-CC-SE-20-LITRES-FOR-BEDDING-IN-REBUILT-ENGINE-COMPONENTS-/290637662117?hash=item43ab5ac7a5:g:gCkAAOxy43FRZr0h

I was wondering what you guys think about it. Price doesn't look too bad and we're using Exol at work (it goes in to Sprinters and Actroses).
Or shall I just get barrel of 15w40?

Thanks Mike

I did several oil changes on 15w40 mineral oil during initial run in then went on to the good stuff

I was always under the impression that any old cheapo mineral oil was ok for running in as you're never really getting it too hot and also changing it frequently. something like this?

Yeh I would go with basic 10w40 mineral . buy some bulk filters too, I use the ADL ones as about £3 in bulk or trade and pretty decent made filter .
