On my way home from work I travel north west out of Daventry on the A45 which is a shitty 50mph single carriage and always has numpty's in Peugeots doing 40. Mad
But After about 5 miles it turns into a lovely sweeping uphilll, left hander dual carriageway taking you onto the M45.
Nothing beats the buzz of dropping down a cog and flooring it past those shitty Peugeots and watching them dissapear into the distance. Magic stretch of road that.

There is a road between my house and where I keep my r in bakewell, it's called via gellia, its very smooth (which is rare in itself in this country) and is also one of those roads that's known to be an accident black spot. It's twists and winds down a valley with great sweeping corners and a few good straights, perfect for really pushing it Very Happy , I like it mainly because it's smooth and my suspension is very stiff!!!!!

My favourite is the b4396 - b4391

Great Tarmac to start with all smooth, humpback bridges long straights and twisty turns, then a step in line over the Welsh hills with sheer drops on the sides (no barriers), and to keep you on your toes try not to hit the thousands of sheep lying in the road. And the end of the sprint is a great view of Bala lake where you can turn around and do it all again

That's gonna be a tough one to beat.
