Slight miss/hesitant in my car

bought a gtir a few days back
car has a slight miss/hesitant when driving

changed plugs already
do coilpacks give trouble?

think i may have just spoke to you over the phone!

dont forget it was peeing down last couple of days so suggest you dry out ignition system and distributor cap (check plug wells for pools of water also) as it will cause spark tracking if wet.

if you still got prob after that then let us know, but waste of time buying anything till youve checked above!

Hi and welcome to the forum. .... Have you got abit of specs on the car wich may help us to eliminate a few things yes coil packs can also tps maf and other various items you can test the coil pack with a multi meter

Erm erm (stalling for an excuse) my cat was poorly then it i spilt tea over my homework got half way there and realised i was a sandwich short in my lunchbox

car is fairly standard bar exhaust/filter

ah sorry, another with similar prob this morning then

if youve checked and replaced all your ignition system then it could more than likely be an afm problem
have you tried doing a fault code check yet?

Give cleaning the afm a bash you could also try re earthing it. .... So is it on idle its spluttering or just when you rev it or both?

Ooooo a black h reg one they are the most sought after year and colour i hear

its not splutterin badly
its just holding back when on full throttle,
sometimes it will pull fine but mostly not
lets a missfire the odd time

Yeh that's the one,I had spent a lot of time underneath that car making it clean and rust free,but then had to sell due to circumstances,try a fault code see if any errors come up

any history for me or pics?
