Evenin,

I've found the front seal repair kits but buggered if I can find a rear seal and piston kit. I'm too tight to send them Biggred, checked there site and can't see the kits listed..

Is there another manufacturer that's the same size piston and seals?

Cheers

Gaz

yep they showed as in stock when I ordered them, thank god I got them need to bleed the brakes this week, hopefully get the lump back in soon! Want to check the bias valve doesnt leak before engine goes in.

Any tips bleeding a completely dry braking system? is it a case of open rear caliper nipples and start pouring fluid into the reservoir unto fluid starts to weep out, then same for front, then go onto bleeding the system?

Ive got no fancy gadgets, good old tube and jar Laughing

Engine nearly there, built up over weekend:

Ended up using Nissan Rings Mr B! Got the others refunded, chap on ebay in lativa sold brand new ones for £90, ring gap was inside the spec so alls good in the end!

Yeh you can try opening up rears & see if will pump fluid through then do front then go back & do each circuit back to front couple times to make sure all air out. If got abs you may get problems & need loosen lines at abs unit to try shift some air, if all fails you might need a vacuum pump.
Ball valve like get on car washer lines are good on the hose and jar method as cut back on reverse flow & can speed up the bleed process .
Have seen a second car used as vacuum source with long hose to nipple with short clear section and stop valve so can block line before fluid drawn into second engine lol.
Bit of a hillbilly trick & not overly recommended but handy if in a real jam .

Got lucky on piston rings in end, glad got refund & all worked out good & in spec .

I meant to update this but forgot, biggred emailed me back with the rear kit part numbers, but I'd already ordered, received and fitted the other ones.  This is there email:

Hi we sell both item separately they are available on our website, if you go to the top right hand page of the website and type
BRP233416 for the piston and BRK203434 for the kit

Did the trick, could be bothered spending more money on a tool I'll use once in a blue moon, plus the wife had gone out in the car and the battery was flat on my van Laughing

Thought I could do it with long nose pliers at first but nope!
