Personally I would just buy a set that fit and will last a lot of these so called cheap up grades are a slaver on and some don't work very well. Indy has a set that will last the time you own the car and te word cheap  and brakes never suited me

So many rob mr b explains how they don't sit right. I have seen where they use less of the disc. By the time you buy them machine discs etc. And let's be honest 400 -500 quid for some that fit first time and last easy 5 year no flex in calipers etc is a no brainer for me

As you say Johnny is over engineering something you can already get off the shelf why bother.

I like the Hispec my own personal experiance been good customer service always got bits from them I have needed and parts are reasonable and easy to get from them (some may say different but always had good experiances with them)

Agree mate I am all for custom stuff and people trying but all in sure it can work out say 350 and hassle so for 4-500 quid for a far better set up why bother

Hi-spec seem pretty popular for you guys over there? The skyline upgrade is pretty common over here though

Do what I did buy yourself some twinpot calipers 280mm disks and some pads and fit it all yourself. It offered a very nice upgrade over my standard setup much more positive feeling through the brake pedal and will only cost you less than £200 depending on your choice of pads and disks.

Anyone who has the money and takes their cars on track can justify spending a grand on their brakes, I can't and I'm very happy with what I got.

I'm only running 1 bar, exhaust, fmic ect so it's perfectly fine for what I need. Disks needed spacing out I've just used washers until I get something proper made up.

Fto twin pots, Clio 182 Brembo High Carbon disks £35 and some Mintex pads for about £20.

It's a noticable improvement and if I want extra stopping power I'll just uprate the disks and pads to carbotech or something.

Just worked it out. Its cost me £218, standard ebc pads junked for yellows as i couldn't stop, need some better spacers so i can lathe the outside down so the discs align properly.
