For a respray Very Happy

Finally after months of shall I do it myself or take the plunge and get it done properly, I decided to get a pro job.  So got a few different people round this week to quote it, the two lads that came out yesterday I knew straight away they will do a cracking job, plus after chatting for a bit turns out one of them had an R himself and loves them, so that sold it for me  Smile .  All the plastic parts, arch trims, door handles etc are being done too, but not gloss black like the car but original plastic effect, basically they will look brand new Cool  They reckon two weeks to get it arrow straight, obviously its not 2 weeks constant, few issues to address on her (my repairs Laughing )

So as she is now:

Cheers guys, it's all starting to fall into place now, think I've got everything to rebuild it now apart from wheels..

I'm going black KH3, the painters did say sure you don't want any other colour than the hardest one to get right Laughing hence why they want it perfectly straight before apply colour.

They've recommended clear over base instead of 2K will to get more depth in the paint and any swirl marks in future easier to buff out..

Spoke to a guy on eBay the other day about a rear bumper, he has a few different brand new N14 bumpers asked if he had our part number he did so just ordered that too.. Mines had an annoying dent since I've had it, filled the old one but for the sake of £60 might as well go brand new.

Picked up tow eye cover from Nissan this morning as well, never had one before, small things make me smile Surprised

Once its back its going to be stored never to see daylight again Shocked  Nah Trying to keep it as standard looking on the outside, looking into the Radtec IC/Rad setup, not going to be running mega power either keep it to 330 or maybe settle for 300bhp.  she'll be a weekend car, got a van for my daily drive, a van for my evening drive and a Golf for err night driving  Laughing   I was going to adapt a RS500 IC and mount a rad to it, but tbh cant be bothered now and might as well go for Radtec one, I know its expensive but think its a drop in the ocean to what I forked out already Mad  After repairing the inner wings I dont want to cut holes again for the FMIC, plus I want to retain the AC.

Wheels Im a bit stumped on until I make the brake caliper brackets and mount them see what clearances  are, prob be 17's, really want OZ Racing Superturismo GT,  havent a clue with offsets and width, think thats a long way off yet.

Got everything else for the rebuild, bits i snapped or were knackered bought new or sourced from scrappies and you guys on here cheers  Hardest bit was the rear passenger arch trim, took me months to find one, got quite a bit of stuff from a chap at midland car breakers, I was phoning him on a daily basis at one point  Laughing  All my arch trims came off with studs intact but the rear trim had a slice in it when I reversed into a concrete fence post  Crying or Very sad  Stupidly I cut the studs off that trim so when I was filling the rear arches after welding new sections in, I used it to check the contours etc, thinking be easy to get a replacement, oops! Almost came to ordering a new one from Nissan, £110 odd, but got one in the end! complete with studs intact.

So this weekend Im plasterboarding and skimming garage ready for when she returns, spray emulsion on the walls and ceiling lighten the place up, was going to board the walls but cant be arsed now, paint will do!
