The new run around

Finally got myself a run around while im sorting the R. Hopefully ive not bought another money pit. Its a Lexus IS300 and I think its got all the factory options

Nice that pete .... not to sure on problems with them ... always liked them and are quite cheap for what you get .... not to great on tax though a ...

Well i found it on autotrader locally so searched the net and couldnt really find any info to fault it, unlike several other cars i was interested in. Yeah tax will be a bit steep at the beginning of next month; £290 for the year i think. It does drive really smooth and has a little bit of oomph from its 3L straight 6. Its even more comfortable in the back, might have to hire a chaffeur

One of my mates friend had one ... he loved it he did say it was expensive on parts pete ... but i guess its like anything some things are a bargain and other bits empty your pocket ... still a nice car regardless i would have one 

Got today off so gonna go and get some prices for a few bits from my local motor factors. Got to have a look at the o2 sensor as well as it brings up the engine management light, which i knew about when i bought it. The dealer reckons it justs needs cleaning as the car has sat for a while but a replacement one isnt silly money. Also got to get 4 new tyres as they are all starting to crack but again not a problem as i knocked him for them and get good deals on tyres at work.

These are lovely cars, quite a nice catch that Pete  I don't miss having a six cylinder engine, my GTO drank far too much was a pretty cool car though

Well i reckon this will be about the same as or maybe slightly better than the pulsar. The R was only averaging around 24mpg but im not worried about economy as i dont do that many miles. I was considering a 4L jeep and they only mange around 16mpg.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Japanese luxury, my brother had a Lexus, really nice motors.

Thank god to the above some one else who has no concern of fuel economy when it needs fuel buy it or sell up and buy a electric car

I really like these cars, my friend used to have an is200, some special yellow edition, I hated the colour but the car was cool

I was actually looking for the 200 model but found this locally and thought bigger engine has got to be a winner

300's are the way to go, nice set of wheels and lowered and they look sweet

Im not gonna mess with it except maybe a k+n panel filter. Ive had several people wanting to buy my alloys as they are quite rare apparently. This is a result as i want 17's so i can i run a higher sidewall to try and save the alloys from potholes.

Big tyres might aswell bought a john deere pete

Mt brother has the is200 and nearly done 200,000 miles and still going strong!!
