Does anyone know what signal input the cluster gets to operate the tacho? Is it either 5,8 or 12v?

Don't know if this helps. Seems to say between 1 and 5 volts but as it will be pulses that doesn't mean a lot. My guess would be 5v peak??

Probably PWM signal isnt it, or a variable frequency square wave.

I thought I read somewhere the cluster changes the signal type and then sends it to the ecu, can't confirm that though.

Yeah Im almost positive I've seen it somewhere johnny. Correction in the above though, the tacho gets a signal from the ECU, and the ECU gets the signal from the CAS.

Found out its 5v, duty cycle 20% and 4 pulses per cycle by looking up the haltech plug and play map.

Also the speedo is 1225 pulses/ km for the ecu.
