Ok cool post up what make and model and il see what i can find for you 
worth a look you never know .... next step would to be getting a new alarm ... im sure an auto electrician would be able to get a spare fob to work ...

My above comment was because I got a extra fob and got Autosounds (alarm/audio etc) place up my way to program it and they said even if I did not have a fob they could do it off numbers and stuff. My alarm is a few year old but they rang technical or somewhere and sorted it I no time
