I have brackets and discs to run bigger disc upfront using the standard caliper. Not a massive upgrade as the standard calipers are rubbish but change the pads and this gives you better braking could be a option for those (as a lot are keeping the standard look) if it helps anyone I could dig it out for more info

Mr B wrote:For 278mm on rear we use maxima discs with maxima caliper carrier bracket.
caliper carrier bracket part# 619503  .or   141506

I ordered a set of these brackets, finding an online site that shipped internationally was annoying. Ended up finding on eBay but using 14-1506

B, can you change to maxima rear pads with this conversion? Aren't they slightly bigger?

Mr B

No I don't believe they are, you could check the measurements in a brake pad catalogue but i'm sure they were both same.
maxima discs are 5 hole so need redrilling.
It only 10mm radius increase & just repositioning the standard caliper same as the hispec & godspeed rear 280 kits, they did do 300mm on standard caliper & pad too.

I'll check it and see what I can find B. I'm changing to 5stud hubs so its is easier for me to do this upgrade Smile

From what I can figure out they are the same pad 105mm x 47mm

Are you redrilling your rear hubs or using a different hub?

Nah n15 hubs are the same pattern as ours but fwd. Not keen on the redrilling hubs, I think the new holes would be to close to the edge of the hub anyway. Stracher Motorsport do 5 stud hubs for our car. I'm also waiting to hear back from a company in the states about them aswell.
