Hi all
I'm looking at some point at doing my suspension, don't really wont to go for coil overs so i was thinking whiteline springs an koni shocks but ofcourse everything good for pulsar is discontinued or i can't find it fuming

So do you guys know if whiteline spring are still available and if yes where i can find them or any other descent springs I can only find spax but i don't want that big drop

Another question since koni discontinued gti inserts and those for suzuki baleno too i thought about blistein conversion but again can't find what sort of cartridges people use so any help would be much appreciated

Mike

For springs you best getting custom made using say whiteline as a base model, in uk a good company is springcoil.co.uk, they have immense knowledge on suspension & should be able come up with good springs to required spec. Once they have patterned/tested one set future supply & tweaking slightly for ride height & spring rates is easy for them ...
For inserts lots of things can work.
Koni baleno & maxima inserts can be found if hunt the part numbers on google as some companies have stock. Also get koni uk to provide closest match that is available ( more stroke would be better as baleno & maxima are short stroke as is) damping rates not important as will get changed anyway.
Bilstein can use likes of R30 or R36 inverted mono B6 inserts pending on what R strut tubes you use. R36 is best as the valving on 36mm pistons is more detailed profiling & potentially more tunable.
Bilstein will make inserts to length etc but not cheap compared to off shelf part.
RX7 & mitsi 3kgt inserts are popular for cross fitting & can be made to work & base stroke range increased by about 20mm. buying off shelf insert part can be as cheap as £100 (shop around for clearance), custom could be close to double or more. all will need revalve work to suite application.

Mmm I don't drink beer :-/ you can buy me an iced green tea next time you passing through my city lol ...

mr Grim_d is dealing with a koni set so he may be able fill in more details in time.
brief search I did on the koni belano & maxima inserts suggest you may still get them from US or Europe, did see some in Italy on clearance for 70euro but would need confirming over phone or email.

^ No need mention it an import, tell um uk sunny gtir
No idea on those King Springs, woody may know more on them from info on the Oz gtir forum.
Springcoil would make springs for around £60 a spring based on some I had done via them for a forester XT. Advantage with that is can specify ride height plus perhaps increase spring rates & rate difference front /rear to help cut understeer, disadvantage is hassle getting ball rolling & supplying base struts springs & measurements to model from, once done though anyone else wanting set would be able contact them & specify different ride height & rates & springs would be made from data already reviewed . Could be worth a small group buy if got few people looking for springs similar or exact match to the later Whiteline 25mm lowering springs !

Hi, if you check out EBay for Nissan Gtir & refine search to worldwide, in Germany there are some AP Sport -35mm springs & the cheapest seller is £123.80. Very Happy

It seems several different German companies do the same AP sport springs & some charge £144. My old lowering springs are well corroded & I was thinking of replacing them with a set of these. Very Happy

There does seem to be plenty UK websites that list the baleno shocks (8610-1331SP). Prices do seem to be in the £150+ per shock range, larkspeed list them but having stock is a different mater.

Well I've contacted people at Weiss (shop in Italy) and got two shocks for suzuki coming (well waiting for transfer to clear) I've managed to get them for £150 all in so not bad. Tomorrow I'll send guy email again asking if they've got more of them in stock and I'll let you guys know cos I've got suspicion that I've got last two shock...

A very good price, what about the maxima shocks?

I already have both but they do need rebuilt, I'm looking at around £500 on the road bit that includes springs and cut bodies, it will be interesting to see how you compare with all new parts

Unfortunately their website is down but I think it was around £130 for maxima shock and I think they have plenty of them in stock thing is euro is quite low atm so you might be better off shopping in eu
