Hard pipe and dump valve

Iv made a full hard pipe kit over the weekend, as the old run was mainly silicone pipe! Iv also shortened the run by just over a foot!


Iv fitted a tial q 50mm dump valve, my question is where do I plumb it into as can't seem to get it to work properly! Do I have to do this quad pipe thing iv read about?

What exactly is it doing Pete? Is the hose to the dump valve only running off a single vacuum port at the moment?

It's either opening on tick over when I plumb it in one way, or not opening at all, when I do it another

thats what i have on mine but for the life of me i cant think how it is plumbed in i think if you look in projects i have before and after pics of my engine bay might be able to see on there

I can only see one pic, and it's a hks ssqv and can't see where it's plumbed too?

yer just looked i removed old pic i am sure the pipe to my dump valve comes from the back wall and have you blocked the pipe under the intake as mine does not have it any more

No worries at all mate, to be honest I had my valve running off a single vacuum port on top of the plenumn and never had any problems, I know that doesn't really help you.

The real question is, when are you making me a hard pipe run?

i had same problem with my sheepdog prof dump valve, i ended up having to adjust preload on spring using the adjuster on top. does yours have somewhere to adjust it. think i found something on youtube about setting up a gfb valve and applied the same technique. works fine now

I wish I had the time and tools to do the job for other people as well, but I have good friends that let me use there ali welders and garages etc, but just for me . I don't think the tial can be adjusted, you have to buy different springs which is a ball ache! Gonna try this quad vacume thing first and see if that works! If not I will be back on here bothering people! Be so much more simple if these had a single throttle body!

I didnt think doing it tue quad way was the best ... just remember seeing it somewhere about it ....
