On the inlet manifold i have 4 vacuum ports that are blanked and 4 that are joined Together with pipe ..

Do the ones that i have joined together need to stay like that or can i blank them off like the other ones? ..
Does that make sense?

Don't see why you can't blank the other ones off rob. There's nothing else plumbed into the ones that are jointed though? Like bov for example?

I think its just a way of blanking them off rather than using the blanking nipple things they just use silicone pipe. Dont think there is any difference?

Yeah just like shroom said, possibly the owner lost the orignal blanks so they just joined the ports together.

The only thing il add to this is if you blank them off then obviously you have done away with recirc from rocker cover, if this is the case then make sure you remove the Pcv valve so the engine can breathe properly if it's left in there without a source of vacuum then it will remain shut thus stifling the engine

If you're removing the PCV I'll buy it off you. Smile
It's one of the bits still missing of my spare engine...
